Create and Manage User Groups

Groups let you organise your firm's users into teams, like a practice area, department, or office location. Once a group exists, you can set permissions or grant access to information for the whole group instead of doing it one person at a time. This makes it much easier to stay organised as your firm grows and adds more users. You can also create and manage user groups directly from your Clio Manage settings.

Create a group

  1. In the Admin Console, click Users & Groups, then click the Groups tab.
  2. Click + New Group.
  3. Enter a Group Name (required) and Group Description.
  4. Optional: Check Exclude this group from custom billing rate if you don't want this group to appear as an option when setting a custom billing rate.
  5. Under Group Members, use Add a Member to add users to the group.
  6. Click Save.
