Have more questions? Submit a request

Dropbox Sign’s integration with Clio allows you to prepare documents and send them to recipients for their eSignatures. If you need more information about the legally binding nature of eSignatures, see Dropbox Sign’s legal page.

Cancel eSignature requests in Dropbox Sign

Once sent, eSignature requests cannot be canceled in Clio. You can, however, cancel the request in your Dropbox Sign account if all signers have not completed the document yet. If all signers have signed the document, you will need to delete the document instead. To cancel a request in Dropbox Sign:

  1. Log in to your Dropbox Sign account. If you do not have a Dropbox Sign account, start by resetting your Dropbox Sign password. Use your Clio email address when resetting and creating a new Dropbox Sign password.
  2. Go to Documents.
  3. Click the down arrow next to the request and select Cancel.

Change name used in recipient email in Dropbox Sign

The email that is sent to recipients after a document is prepared and sent is automatic and cannot be customized. If the name used to send the email is incorrect, you can create an account on Dropbox Sign and change your profile name from there. To change your sender name:

  1. Log in to your Dropbox Sign account. If you do not have a Dropbox Sign account, start by resetting your Dropbox Sign password. Use your Clio email address when resetting and creating a new Dropbox Sign password.
  2. Click the down arrow next to your name and select My Settings.
  3. Click Profile and update the necessary fields.
  4. Click Save.

Send eSignature reminders in Dropbox Sign

Dropbox Sign will send an automatic reminder to recipients who have not signed a document after three days and after seven days. You can disable automatic reminders in your Dropbox Sign notification settings. You can also manually send reminder requests to your recipients in Dropbox Sign.

  1. Log in to your Dropbox Sign account. If you do not have a Dropbox Sign account, start by resetting your Dropbox Sign password. Use your Clio email address when resetting and creating a new Dropbox Sign password.
  2. Go to Documents > Out for signature.
  3. Click the down arrow next to the document and select Send reminders.
