In Clio Manage, you can sync your personal calendar or any calendars that you created with your Google or Microsoft Office 365 account. These syncs will bring over all calendar events in your Google and Microsoft accounts and send all your Clio calendar events to Google or Microsoft. The firm’s primary subscriber can even sync the firm calendar.

You can also set up calendar ics feeds to push calendar data one-way to other third-party applications that Clio does not sync with, including Apple iCal or Yahoo.

Note: You cannot sync the same calendar with both Google and Microsoft.

Configure Google calendar sync

The calendar sync with Google is a bi-directional sync for all calendar events. This means that adding, editing, and deleting calendar events in Clio Manage will affect calendar events in Google, and the other way around as well.

Note: The sync can take up to 24 hours to complete. You can navigate away from the settings page while waiting.

Set up sync Disable sync
  1. Go to Settings > Contact and Calendar Sync.
  2. Click Set Up Sync or Configure next to Google contacts and calendars.
  3. Log in to your Google account and then click Allow.
  4. Click Sync next to the calendar that you want to sync.
  5. Select whether you want to create a new Google calendar or link to an existing Google calendar.
  6. Click Sync Calendar.

Configure Microsoft Office 365 calendar sync

The calendar sync with Microsoft is a bi-directional sync for all calendar events. This means that adding, editing, and deleting calendar events in Clio Manage will affect calendar events in Microsoft, and the other way around as well.

Note: You can only sync your calendars with Office 365 if you have a Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, or Enterprise subscription.
Set up sync Disable sync
  1. Go to Settings > Contact and Calendar Sync.
  2. Click Set Up Sync or Configure next to Office 365 contacts and calendars.
  3. Scroll down to the Outlook calendar section and click Connect
  4. Log in to your Microsoft account and follow the prompts.
  5. In the Outlook calendar section, click Unsynced calendars.
  6. Click Sync calendar next to a calendar.
  7. Select whether you want to create a new Microsoft calendar or link to an existing Microsoft calendar.
    • Create a new calendar in Outlook: Before syncing the calendar, give your new calendar a name. If you select this option, the synced Clio Manage calendar will appear as a new calendar in your Outlook account.
    • Link to an existing Outlook Calendar: Choose one of your existing Outlook calendars from the dropdown. If you select this option, the synced Clio Manage calendar will appear on the chosen Outlook calendar.
  8. Click Sync calendar.

Note: The sync can take up to 24 hours to complete. You can navigate away from the settings page while waiting.

Set up calendar ics feeds

If you want to view your Clio calendar data in a calendaring application other than Google or Microsoft, you can set up a one-way calendar feed. If you make changes in Clio, you can view the changes in your calendaring application of choice. However, changes made in the third-party application will not be reflected in Clio. To set up a regular one-way feed

  1. Go to Calendar.
  2. Click the More dropdown and select Calendar feeds.
  3. Select Your Calendar ics feed (Outlook/iCal), the ics feed for any other calendar, or All visible calendar ics feed (Outlook/iCal).
  4. Follow your browser and third-party application directions to subscribe to the calendar feed.
