Search in Clio Manage full-text document search

Tip: Use a keyword search to look for a specific document. Clio will search for that term in the entire body of your documents to produce results. If you search for multiple words in double quotations, only documents where all those words appear together will be shown.

  1. Go to the main Documents tab or the Documents subtab in a contact or matter.
  2. Click Sort and toggle off Show folders first.
  3. Optional: Click Filters to select specific filter parameters and then click Apply filters.
  4. In the Search field, type in a search term and then hit enter on your keyboard.

 

Download document PDF file in Clio Grow

After all signees have signed the document, you can view and download the completed document as a PDF file from the matter’s intake process page, from the matter’s files page, or from the Documents tab.

  1. Go to the matter in Clio Grow.
  2. Find the document task under the Intake process section.
  3. Click the Options dropdown and select Download PDF.

 

View documents in Clio Manage

In Clio Manage, you can view documents directly in Clio Manage without having to download them to your computer. Follow the steps below to learn how to do this. 

  1. Go to the main Documents tab or the Documents subtab in a contact or matter.
  2. Click the Files only subtab to view only document files. You can also click All to view document folders and then click into the folders to find your document. 
  3. Find the document in the table. 
  4. Click View next to the document's name. The document will open in Clio Manage.

 

Download files and folders in Clio Manage

In Clio Manage, you can download both document files and document folders. Document files will be downloaded as PDF files, and document folders will be downloaded as .zip folder files.

Download PDF files:

  1. Go to the main Documents tab or the Documents subtab in a contact or matter.
  2. Click the Files only subtab to view only document files. You can also click All to view document folders and then click into the folders to find your document. 
  3. Find the document file in the table. 
  4. Click View next to the document's name.
  5. In the upper right corner, click Download.

 

Download folders:

  1. Go to the main Documents tab or the Documents subtab in a contact or matter.
  2. Find the document folder in the table. 
  3. Click the down arrow next to Edit and select Download.
