Edit and Delete Bill Payments

Editing and deleting bill payments keeps your billing records accurate after a mistake in the amount, source, or account. You can edit most fields on a recorded payment or delete it entirely, with rules that depend on how the payment was made. Accurate payment records keep your accounts reconciled and your trust ledger compliant.

Edit a recorded bill payment

Note: You can edit all fields on a recorded bill payment except the write-off and credit note. To apply a credit note or write off, delete the payment first. Learn more about credit notes in Apply Credit Notes and Write Offs. Trust request payment records are final, in line with trust fund regulations. To correct an error, release the trust funds instead in Release Trust Funds.
