Box and Clio

Box is a secure, cloud-based document management application that easily integrates with Clio. Box balances ease-of-use with a high level of security, which allows legal professionals to manage firm documents on the go.

Note: Clio does not support integrations with shared drives or business accounts.

Set up Box in Clio

When you set up Clio's integration with Box, Clio will automatically create a folder in the root directory of your Box account that contains subfolders for each of your clients and matters. The root folder cannot be moved or renamed.

Important: If you rename a contact or matter folder in Box, Clio Manage will assume the folder in Box is missing and recreate the folder and all of its contents.

Note: Your firm can only connect one account, and only administrators can connect and authenticate this account.

  1. Go to Settings > Documents > Document Sources.
  2. Click Configure Box.
  3. Select Link Box Account.
  4. Authorize Clio by signing in to your Box account.
