Clio for Law Firms and Lawyers is Clio's mobile app for managing your matters directly from your mobile device. With the mobile app, you can quickly access client, case, and calendar information wherever you are. You can also communicate with clients and manage tasks and documents. Learn more about getting started in this article.

Note: Clio's mobile app is only compatible with iOS 11 or later and Android 8 or later.

Log in

  1. Open the mobile app.
  2. Select your region and then click Sign in to Clio Manage.
  3. Enter the email address used for your Clio account and then click Next: Password.
  4. Enter the password for your Clio account and then click Sign in.
  5. If you have two-factor authentication enabled on your account, enter the six-digit code generated by your authentication app and then click Verify and sign in. Learn more about two-factor authentication here.

Note: Australian and APAC accounts are created on the Australia server by default. If you are unsure of your Clio server region, check your Clio Manage browser window URL.

  • UK and EMEA: eu.app.clio.com

 

Reset password

If you forget your Clio account password, you can reset it from your mobile device. It may take a few minutes for you to receive the password reset email. 

Note: If you do not receive the password reset email, check your junk folder and ensure that Clio is whitelisted. You can also search for "Clio" in the search bar of your email inbox.

  1. Open the app.
  2. In the Enter password field, click Forgot?
  3. Enter the email address for your Clio account in the exact capitalization on the account.
  4. Click Send link by email.
  5. Follow the directions in the email to reset your password.

 

Customise mobile app experience

You can customise your mobile app experience in a few different ways, including how your global create new menu appears. The global create new menu is the + icon on each tab in the navigation bar and is used to quickly add new calendar events, time and expense entries, tasks, notes, documents, contacts, and communications. You can select the order these items appear in the menu and whether or not you want the timekeeper to appear in the menu. You can also enable or disable text snippets and select how you enter and view time (text or decimals).

  1. Open the app and select Home in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Click the gear icon for your settings.
  3. Select Customisation.
  4. Select the appropriate settings for you.

 

Manage user notifications

If you want to receive notifications on your mobile device, you need to enable them in your Clio Manage desktop app settings and enable push notifications on your mobile device. Push notifications are turned on by default. You can also disable push notifications and mobile app notifications. 

Note: If you do not see the notifications panel in the mobile app, check that the app is the latest version on your device.

Note: If you turn on mobile notifications, you will see Clio mobile app notifications in your notifications centre on your mobile device and you will receive push notifications to your device's home screen. 

  1. Open the Clio Manage desktop app.
  2. Go to Settings > Notifications.
  3. Toggle on or off Mobile for the relevant notification settings.

 

Perform global search

You can use the mobile app's search functionality to perform a keyword search to find data within your firm's contacts, matters, calendar events, documents, tasks, time and expense activities, notes, and communication logs. Follow these steps to use the search bar:

  1. Select Search in the mobile app navigation bar on the bottom of your screen.
  2. Enter your keyword search in the Search Clio bar.

 

Log out

  1. Open the app and select Home in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Click the gear icon for your settings.
  3. Click Sign out of Clio.
