When you share a questionnaire, it becomes live and ready to track. Under the Live Questionnaires subtab, you can monitor its progress status and view client responses.
Live Questionnaire statuses
- Not started: A shareable URL has been created, but the client has not begun completing the questionnaire.
- In progress: The client has started but has not submitted their responses. Firm users can view responses but cannot edit them.
- Needs review: The client submitted their responses. Firm users can review, edit, and finalize the responses for document drafting.
- Completed: Responses have been reviewed and saved to the matter and can no longer be edited.
View live questionnaires
- Go to Questionnaires and then select the Live Questionnaires subtab.
- Scroll through the list to view the status of each questionnaire.
- Click a questionnaire's name to view the details and responses.
Review and finalize questionnaire responses
Once a client submits their responses, you can review them and save them to their matter. Saved responses cannot be edited but can be mapped to document templates or court forms in Clio Draft.

- Go to Questionnaires and then select the Live Questionnaires subtab.
- Find the questionnaire with a Needs review status.
- Hover over the questionnaire and click View live questionnaire.
- Review the client's responses. Make edits as necessary.
- Click Save responses to matter to finalize.
Rename and delete live questionnaires
You can rename or delete live questionnaires without affecting the original templates or previously saved responses.
Rename live questionnaires
- Go to Questionnaires and then select the Live Questionnaires subtab.
- Find the questionnaire you want to rename.
- Click Actions > Delete.
- Enter a new name and click Save.
Delete live questionnaires
- Go to Questionnaires and then select the Live Questionnaires subtab.
- Find the live questionnaire you want to delete.
- Click Actions > Delete.
- Click Delete to confirm.
