Clio Duo’s Document Analyzer in Clio Manage helps you extract key information from your documents. Open the analyzer from the Clio Duo chat panel, the Documents tab throughout your account, and select a matter before selecting documents. You can also choose and analyze documents from the Documents subtab of a matter.
Analyzed documents include citations that reference the original text, making it easier to verify and review extracted details.
File types and size limits
You can analyze up to five documents at a time. If needed, refine your results by adjusting your wording and questions. The analyzer supports DOCX, TXT, and PDF files with the following size limits:
- DOCX and TXT: Up to 1MB per file
- PDF: Up to 5MB per file, with a 25MB total limit per analysis.
Analyze documents
Ask Clio Duo to summarize documents, extract key details, or generate lists based on your request. You can analyze up to five documents at a time and refine your results by adjusting your wording and questions.
- Go to the Documents tab, the Documents subtab of contact or matter, or view a document, and click Analyze.
- Select an open matter from the dropdown or type in the matter name, and select one of the following options:
- Select documents in a matter to pick files from the matter.
- Upload new documents to add documents from your computer.
- Drag and drop files into the upload area.
- Enter a question or request to extract key details. Some examples include.
- Who are the parties involved?
- Create a time of events from these documents
- Provide a breakdown of who gets what assets
- Itemize the dollar amounts from these documents.
- Summarize these documents.
- Optional: Review citations in the results.
Review citations
Citations follow excerpts, appear as Arabic numerals, and link directly to the original text in your documents. You can use citations to verify sources and ensure accuracy before using extracted details.
- Click the citation to preview the referenced section.
- Click the hyperlink icon in the citation to open the document in your matter.
