In Clio Manage, the tasks migration template allows you to bulk import tasks, so your team's work items and deadlines are in place from the start. Tasks need to be imported on a per-user basis. This may require splitting tasks into separate CSV files for each user. The user for whom tasks are being imported needs an active licence on the account.

Required fields
- Subject
- Due date
- Complete: 1 for completed, 0 for incomplete.
Import tasks
- Download the Tasks import template (North America).
- Populate the spreadsheet with your tasks information using the field reference below.
- Delete any unused row cells, then save the file in CSV format.
- On the Clio Manage Imports page (https://app.clio.com/imports), click Add and select Tasks from CSV.
- In the User dropdown, select the firm user responsible for the imported tasks.
- Click Choose File and select your saved CSV file.
- Click Upload File.
Field reference
- subject: Enter the subject of the task. Required.
- due_date: Enter the task due date in MM/DD/YYYY format. Required.
- complete: Enter 1 for completed tasks and 0 for incomplete tasks. Required.
- description: Enter the description of the task.
- matter: Enter an exact match to a matter display number in Clio. The matter display number is the full matter name, not including the matter description after the colon.
