Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service from Google that provides you with a place to store and access your documents. Clio’s integration with Google Drive allows you to share, sync, edit, access, and share your files with ease.
Note: Clio does not support integrations with shared drives or business accounts.
Set up Google Drive in Clio
When you set up Clio's integration with Google Drive, Clio will automatically create a folder in the root directory of your Google Drive account that contains subfolders for each of your clients and matters. The root folder cannot be moved or renamed.
Important: If you rename a contact or matter folder in Google Drive, Clio Manage will assume the folder in Google Drive is missing and recreate the folder and all of its contents.
Note: Your firm can connect only one account, and only the primary subscriber has the authority to connect and authenticate it. If the primary subscriber has changed, first disconnect and reauthorize Google using the current primary subscriber's credentials.
- Go to Settings > Documents > Document Sources.
- Click Configure Google Drive.
- Click Enable Google Drive. You will then be prompted to log in to Google if you are not already logged in.
- Click Allow to authorize the connection between your Clio and Google accounts. This authorization is not required if you already have Google calendars and contacts synced.
Uninstall Google Drive from Clio
- Go to Settings > Documents > Document Sources.
- Click Configure Google Drive.
- Click Unlink Account.
