The Analyze Legal Documents workflow is your starting point for document analysis in Clio Work. Upload one or more documents, and Vincent AI generates suggested analysis tasks tailored to the document type, content, and matter context. Upload documents and start analyses
You can upload a document and receive suggestions from Vincent from various starting points in Clio Manage.
From the Vincent workspace
- In Clio Manage, from the left navigation pane click Vincent.
- Select the + icon in the text box.
- Choose your document source. You can:
- Add files from Clio Manage: Click Add from Documents to select files previously uploaded to Clio Manage
- Add files or folders from your computer: Click File Upload or Folder Upload.
- Upload from a third-party document management system (DMS): Click the relevant Upload from ... option depending on the DMS you use.
- Select your file(s).
Once a file is added, it will appear in the prompt box and if relevant, Vincent will displays a short summary of the document content and/or generate suggested tasks.
From Clio Manage: document upload
Use this path when you are uploading a new document directly into Clio Manage and want to analyze it in Vincent immediately.
- In Clio Manage, click Documents, or navigate to the Documents subtab of a specific matter.
- Upload your file.

When the upload completes and the Upload successful modal appears, select a relevant options:
- Analyze: receive suggestions based on your document's content
- Compare: build a table summarizing key differences across multiple documents
- Summarize: generate a summary of your document
Note: Click Try more Vincent AI workflows to access the full workflow panel in Clio Work. - Select the relevant Start button for the workflow you chose.
Vincent's workspace will open with your document loaded in a new conversation.
Start a document analysis workflow
Tip: Start with the task(s) most relevant to the current scenario, then select more tasks as your analysis develops.
- In Clio Manage, from the left navigation pane, click Vincent to open the workspace.
- Select a dedicated document analysis workflow from the Analyze or the More Workflows tiles.
- Upload your document using one of the available upload options.
- Once a file is added, it will appear in the prompt box and if relevant, Vincent will displays a short summary of the document content and/or generate suggested tasks.

Select one or more tasks relevant to your immediate work or use the text box to create your own task or question.
Note: When selected, research-type suggested tasks or questions may have an edit icon allowing you to review and modify the research question before submitting. - Click the arrow to submit.
