The Clio Desktop App lets you browse and work with your Clio documents from your computer, in its own app window. It also includes Clio Timekeeping for Desktop, an AI-powered feature that allows you to track time on your activities outside of Clio. Unlike Clio Drive, the Clio Desktop App does not add a drive to File Explorer or Finder, but instead, you simply work in the app, the same way you would on your computer. This includes viewing your matters', contacts', and firm's documents and opening files in the program you usually use to edit them.
Important: The Clio Desktop App is separate from Clio Drive and Clio Launcher. Installing the Clio Desktop App will remove Clio Drive from your computer. The Clio Desktop App provides you with the same functionality as Clio Drive via a new and improved experience.

Timekeeping
Clio Timekeeping for Desktop allows you to track time on your activities outside of Clio's web app or for systems you integrated with in Clio Manage. The desktop app uses AI to suggest time entries spent outside of these systems on your matters. You can then review these entries and log them to the relevant matters, ensuring all billable time is accounted for and tracked unbillable time ensures accurate reporting for the firm.

- In the Clio Desktop App, click Settings > General.
- Use the Clio Timekeeping toggle to turn Timekeeping on or off.
Note: Depending on your system security settings, you may be prompted to adjust your settings or grant the Clio Desktop App certain access to your computer. On a Mac, this includes permission to use accessibility features. This allows Clio Timekeeping to capture activity in the background. Follow the on-screen prompts.
