Using Clio Work with Clio Manage connects your legal research environment to your firm's matters, contacts, and documents from the first session. This article covers how to access Clio Work, start Vincent conversations directly from a matter, and launch document analysis without leaving Clio Manage.
Note: Firms that use Clio Work without a Clio Manage subscription can create matters and contacts directly in Clio Work and upload and manage related documents. See Clio Work Standalone for guidance.
Access Clio Work
Once your administrator has activated Clio Work and assigned a licence to your account, you can access the platform from the product switcher.
- In Clio Manage, click the product switcher dropdown in the top left corner of the dashboard.
- Select Clio Work.
Tip: If Clio Work does not appear in your product switcher, confirm with your administrator that a licence has been assigned to your account under Settings > Manage Users.
Access Vincent from a matter
You can start a conversation with Vincent directly from a matter in Clio Manage without first navigating to Clio Work.
From the matter dashboard
- In Clio Manage, click Matters and select a matter.
- Select the Clio Work tab from the matter navigation bar. Clio Work opens with the matter already associated.
From AI Actions
- In Clio Manage, click Matters and select a matter.
- In the AI Actions panel on the right side of the matter dashboard, review the suggested actions relevant to your matter.
- Select a suggested action to open it directly in Clio Work with the matter already associated.
From Recent Vincent conversations
- In Clio Manage, click Matters and select a matter.
- In the Recent Vincent conversations section on the right side of the matter dashboard, select a previous conversation to reopen it, or select Open Clio Work to navigate to the full Clio Work workspace.
Analyse a document with Vincent from Clio Manage
You can launch a document analysis conversation directly from the Documents tab without opening Clio Work first.
- In Clio Manage, click Documents, or navigate to the Documents tab of a specific matter.
- Select the checkbox next to the document you want to analyse.
- Select Analyse with Vincent in the toolbar. Vincent opens with the selected document already loaded.
