Add Employees to Company Contacts

In Clio Manage, you can create a company contact and record the people who work at the company. Company contacts let you track your main contact, send bills, and share documents as the matter progresses. The Employees section of the company contact dashboard holds each person you record, and each name opens that person's own contact record.

Add an existing person as an employee

Use this route when the person already has a contact record in Clio Manage.

1. In Clio Manage, click Contacts, then click the company contact name.
2. In the Employees section, click Add employee.
3. Click the down arrow for the contact field, then select the person contact.
4. Click Save employee.

Add a new person as an employee

Use this route to create the person contact and link it to the company in one pass.

1. In Clio Manage, click Contacts, then click the company contact name.
2. In the Employees section, click Add employee.
3. Click the down arrow for the contact field, then click New person.
4. Complete the fields for the new contact, then click Save person.
5. Click Save employee.

Edit or remove an employee

1. In Clio Manage, click Contacts, then click the company contact name.
2. In the Employees section, click Edit beside the employee name.
3. Update the details, then click Save employee.
4. To end the link, click the X beside the employee, then click Save employee.
   • Ending the link removes the employee from the company record while keeping that person's contact record in Clio Manage.
