Navigate Clio

Important: This article describes unified Clio. Unified Clio is available to firms in stages, so your account may still use the old experience. To switch to the old experience, open the user menu. Then select Switch to the old experience. Your data and settings are the same in both experiences.

In Clio, you can access every product your firm uses from a single header and left navigation. Your daily work, your firm's shared records, and a section for each product sit in the same place, so intake, legal work, and billing stay connected. Knowing where each item lives helps you find a matter, a message, or a setting in a few clicks.

Use the header

The header runs across the top of every page. It holds search, time tracking, previews of your calendar and tasks, the create menu, and the user menu.

Search

The search bar carries your firm name. Click the search bar to find matters, contacts, and other records. You can also press ⌘K. Learn more in Global Search.

The Law Community is a place for Clio customers to connect with each other, offer support, answer questions, and share knowledge with other legal professionals.

Important: Some users sign up for a separate Law Community account instead of signing in with Clio credentials. Select the create an account option on the login window the first time you sign in if your account is less than two weeks old, your firm is still in trial, your account is hosted on the European or Canadian servers, or you use the mobile two-factor push notification feature.
